Hearts of Oak have resumed training after following their impressive 0-1 away victory over their sworn and eternal rivals Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium in match-day 22 of the Ghana Premier League.

Baba Adamu’s 14th-minute goal proved to be the difference in the Super-Clash having leaped highest to connect from Martin Karikari’s set-piece delivery which Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara struggled to deal with due to poor positioning.

The match took a dramatic turn when right-back Emmanuel Amankwah was shown a red card after picking up a second yellow for a reckless challenge on Saaka Dauda. Despite playing with ten men for a significant portion of the game, the Rainbow Club still showed great discipline and resilience to hold on to their lead and secure the three points.

Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani gave the players a day off and finally returned this morning at the Kpobiman training grounds to continue working and recharge themselves for their next fixture.

Hearts of Oak now sit in third position on the league standings with 38 points and will host Berekum Chelsea next in a must win encounter.
