Accra Hearts of Oak have officially parted ways with forward Kwabena Boateng after just one season at the club.
Boateng joined the Phobians ahead of the 2024/25 season but found it difficult to secure a regular place in the starting lineup. Despite showing flashes of his talent in both league and cup competitions, he struggled to establish himself as a consistent figure in the team’s attack.
Following months of uncertainty over his future, both the player and the club reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract, ending his short stint with the Accra giants.
According to sources close to the player, Boateng is open to pursuing fresh opportunities, with possible interest expected from other Ghana Premier League clubs as well as teams abroad.
For Hearts of Oak, his exit comes as part of a wider rebuilding process, with the club seeking to bolster its squad after recent disappointing campaigns. The Phobians are expected to bring in new attacking reinforcements during the transfer window.
Boateng leaves with the goodwill of the Hearts faithful, who remain hopeful that he can revive his career and fulfill his potential in his next chapter.
