Hohoe United head coach Abdul Rahim Tijani has applauded his players for their relentless effort and tactical discipline after securing a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Week 13 clash at the Hohoe Sports Stadium saw the hosts clinch all three points thanks to a superbly executed free-kick from William Oduro, which proved to be the only goal of the match.
Reflecting on the performance, Coach Tijani expressed his satisfaction, emphasising that the victory was a direct result of the team’s preparation and determination.
“First, we have to congratulate the boys. They did so well. All I want to say is hard work pays. We really worked for this. We watched their previous games, and I told my boys we should go all out because that can help us survive or achieve our target. The game plan worked so well for us,” he said.
The impressive win has lifted Hohoe United to eighth place on the Ghana Premier League table, boosting their momentum as the campaign intensifies.
Hohoe United will next face Berekum Chelsea in a Week 14 showdown as they look to build on Sunday’s confidence-boosting victory.
