Asante Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito has voiced his frustration following his side’s narrow 1-0 defeat to Hohoe United in their Ghana Premier League Week 13 clash on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors struggled to impose themselves at the Hohoe Sports Stadium, where a well-struck first-half free-kick handed the hosts the decisive goal. The defeat extends Kotoko’s winless streak to four matches, deepening concerns among fans as the team’s form continues to dip.

In his post-match reaction, Karim Zito did not hold back, criticising the team’s lack of tactical discipline—particularly in the opening half.

“To be serious with you, I’m disappointed with our first-half performance. I wasn’t happy at all. They had a good free kick, and it resulted in a goal. But I think we didn’t play well in the first half. We were tactically indisciplined,” he said.

Kotoko’s latest setback leaves them fifth on the league table with 21 points—five behind leaders Medeama Sporting Club.

The Porcupine Warriors will now turn their attention to next weekend’s crucial fixture against Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, where they will be hoping to end their four-game winless run and reignite their title chase.
