Abdul Bashiru, currently serving as the interim coach for Hearts of Oak, has expressed his aspirations to secure the position permanently.
Having previously worked as the assistant coach alongside Martin Koopman, Bashiru stepped into the interim role following Koopman's departure.
In response to ongoing speculation about the club's pursuit of a new head coach, Bashiru has made his intentions clear.
In an interview with Akoma FM, he stated, "I sincerely hope to be appointed as Hearts of Oak's full-time head coach because, without a doubt, I am the coach with the ability to turn the fortunes of the club around."
The Rainbow Club faced a setback with a 3-2 defeat against Asante Kotoko, and Bashiru is determined to guide the team to a positive trajectory.
Hearts of Oak will look to bounce back in their upcoming match against Nations FC at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in the 15th round of fixtures.
