Francis Andy Kumi, the in-form striker for Kotoku Royals, is looking for a new challenge and is interested in joining Hearts of Oak, but only if their offer meets his requirements.
The two Ghanaian clubs have already started discussions about a potential move during the upcoming transfer window.
While Hearts of Oak is a well-known club in Ghana, Kumi is currently focused on his current team and plans to leave any decisions about his future in the hands of his agent, Arthur Legacy.
“Accra Hearts of Oak is a big club in Ghana but I don’t want to make any decision now because of where I am. I want to focus on Kotoku Royals. There is more time after the season and I will leave that to my agent [Arthur Legacy] to decide. I will be happy to have that challenge but my focus is on Kotoku Royals for now,” he told Ghanasportspage.com.
He is open to accepting the challenge of playing for Hearts of Oak if the offer is good, but for now, his attention is on Kotoku Royals.
Kumi stated: "Every player is ready for a new challenge. I will be prepared to join Hearts of Oak if the offer is acceptable, but if I have to remain with Kotoku Royals, I will." He has become Kotoku Royals' star player since joining the team in the second half of the season, scoring a total of 9 goals and providing 2 assists.
With 4 goals in 6 matches throughout March, he is among the Kotoku Royals trio nominated for the Nasco Player of the Month award in the BetPawa Premier League and is currently the joint second-top scorer in the league.
Despite his recent success, Kumi is committed to his current team and is willing to stay with them if necessary.
