Bibiani Gold Stars coach Petros Koukouras says he wishes he had a “magic stick” to quickly transform the club’s fortunes after their disappointing goalless draw with Vision FC.

The Miners were held to a 0-0 draw in Matchweek 5 at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex on Sunday, leaving them 15th on the Ghana Premier League table with four points.

Koukouras acknowledged the frustration among the club’s supporters but insisted that building a successful team requires time and patience.

“They (fans) were furious and they were very right. Everyone in the team was furious. They have every right to be demanding. This team must be a winning team,” he told Gold Stars TV.

The Greek coach explained that he is still adapting to Ghana football after only two and a half months with the team.

“I wish I had the magic stick that I can change things and make everything perfect. But it’s not so easy. I’m new in the country. I’m new in the league. I’m learning the players, I’m learning the team, and the team is learning me.”

Koukouras added that he remains confident the team can improve as the season progresses.

Gold Stars will aim for their first win in their next league fixture when they face Basake Holy Stars on October 11.
