The Phobians were nearly booted out of the premiership after meticulously escaping relegation as they finished the season on the 12th spot - bagging just 46 points and four points above the relegation zone.

The former Ghana international believes that the top hierarchy of the club would have been compelled to immediately effect changes without delay.

“I’d have been happy if Hearts had gone on relegation to Division One last season. That would have sent a lesson for our leaders to learn sense," Quaye told Happy FM.

Quaye went ahead to state that it would have been perfect for the Phobians to bring Annor Walker to occupy the vacant coaching role ahead of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

Walker rather joined sworn city rivals - Great Olympics after ending his stay with Samartex.
