Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito has expressed his satisfaction with the addition of experienced striker Joseph Esso to the team.

Esso has returned to the Still Believe lads after concluding his stint in Algeria, where he joined MC Alger in March 2021. Following his departure from the Algerian club in August 2021, Esso has rejoined Dreams FC for a second spell.

Zito expressed his happiness about securing the services of another experienced player, highlighting that both Esso and John Antwi will bolster the squad.

However, despite Esso's return, Zito confirmed that the forward will not be available for the upcoming clash against Hearts of Oak on Thursday.

"Truth be told, I'm very happy we've been able to sign another experienced player. Esso and John Antwi will enhance the squad," Zito said.

Regarding Esso's readiness to play, Zito explained that although the forward trained with the team on Tuesday, a careful assessment revealed that he is not yet prepared to feature against Hearts of Oak. As a result, Esso will not be included in the matchday squad for the upcoming fixture.

“He trained with us on Tuesday, and after a careful assessment, I realize he is not ready to play against Hearts of Oak. His readiness fell below my expectations so I will not include him” he added

During his first stint with Dreams FC in the 2020/2021 season, Esso netted 11 goals, showcasing his scoring prowess and contribution to the team.
