Former Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah has boldly described himself as the best shot-stopper to have played in the Ghana Premier League over the last ten years.

The 35-year-old believes his achievements, consistency, and impact during his playing days place him ahead of every local goalkeeper within that period.

“I am not bragging, but on record in the last ten years there has been no keeper. I am not lying,” Attah said in an interview.

“I have won everything. Even Asante Kotoko has never scored me before.”

Attah played a key role in Hearts of Oak’s memorable 2020/21 campaign, helping the club secure a historic Ghana Premier League and FA Cup double to end a decade-long trophy drought.

His outstanding performances during that season earned him the Goalkeeper of the Season award and cemented his reputation as one of the top goalkeepers in the domestic league.

Before his successful spell with the Phobians, Attah also impressed during his time with Elmina Sharks, where he established himself as one of the league’s most reliable goalkeepers.

The experienced shot-stopper left Hearts of Oak in 2024 following a decline in form before joining Port City FC in the Division One League.
