Nations FC winger Emmanuel Annor says he hopes his strong performances this season will earn him a first call-up to the Ghana national football team.

The 22-year-old has been one of the top performers in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season. He has scored nine goals in 20 matches and has played an important role in Nations FC’s push for a good finish to the campaign.

Annor’s pace and finishing have made him one of the most dangerous attackers in the league. Since joining the Pride of Abrankese in 2024, he has become a key player for the team.

His performances have caught the attention of fans and football analysts, with many calling for the former Bechem United forward to be included in the Black Stars squad ahead of the upcoming pre-World Cup friendly matches later this month.

Speaking in an interview, Annor said he feels proud to be linked with a possible national team call-up and is determined to keep working hard.

“I feel proud to be linked with a Black Stars invitation. As a local player, being recognised as a potential part of the national team is a big plus for me,” he said.

“I believe it will become possible if I continue to maintain my form. It’s not easy, but with God everything is possible, and with the hard work I am putting in, I know everything will work out well for me.”

Annor will hope to continue his fine form when Nations FC face Berekum Chelsea in the quarter-finals of the Ghana FA Cup on Sunday, 15 March 2026 at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

The silky winger is expected to play an important role in the match as Nations FC aim to reach the semi-finals, while he continues to push for his first Black Stars call-up.
