General Manager of Division One side Okwahu United and former Asante Kotoko supporters' chief, Nana Kwame Dankwah, has called on Accra Hearts of Oak and Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare to consider a move to Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

Asare has quickly risen to prominence after an outstanding debut for the Black Stars in March, where he cemented his place as Ghana’s first-choice goalkeeper. His impressive displays in the recent FIFA World Cup qualifiers have further elevated his status on the national stage.

Speaking on on Hot FM, Nana Kwame emphatically stated that a move to Asante Kotoko would be the best decision for Asare's career.

“It would truly benefit him [Benjamin Asare] if he joined Kotoko,” he said. “Hearts will not aid his progress.”

Asare was recently named Man of the Match in Hearts of Oak’s Ghana Premier League clash against Medeama SC on Sunday, April 6, 2025, a game the Phobians won 1-0.

With growing interest around the goalkeeper’s future, Nana Kwame's comments are likely to stir discussion among fans of both clubs and the national team.
