Samartex defender, James Sewornu, has shared his excitement after winning his second league title.
The former Auroras FC and Hearts of Oak centre-back played a pivotal role as the Timber Giants won the title as they were officially crowned champions on Sunday, June 16, 2024 in their final match-day fixture against Accra Lions.
Sewornu started and lasted the entire duration on Sunday, as Samartex thumped Accra Lions to be crowned the new champions of Ghana.
The towering defender shared his elation with the media to express his delight following his latest success.
“The excitement is too much. It’s a plus for me, winning the league with both Hearts of Oak and Samartex” he said.
Having been crowned as champions - Samartex will represent Ghana in the CAF Champions League next season.
