New signing Kwasi Asante has expressed his excitement after completing his long-cherished move to Asante Kotoko.

The former Simba FC and Haifa left-back signed an 18-month contract with the Porcupine Warriors upon his return to Ghana, marking a significant chapter in his career.

“Joining Kotoko feels like a homecoming for me. This is a club I’ve admired for years because of its history and passion. When the opportunity came, I didn’t have to think twice because I want to be part of something special here,” Asante shared.

The versatile defender acknowledged the high expectations of the club’s supporters and pledged to meet them through hard work and determination.

“I know the fans have high expectations, and I’m ready to give everything I’ve got to meet them. Competition for places is part of football, and I welcome it because it makes us all better. I’m here to work hard, contribute to the team, and help Kotoko achieve its goals this season,” he added.

Asante is expected to bring both quality and experience to the Kotoko squad as they aim to challenge for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League title.
