Justice Blay has turned down a contract extension from Asante Kotoko and could be set to join an unnamed foreign club.
The combative midfielder is out of contract at the end of January, 2025 and has been at the centre of speculation in recent weeks.
All hope is lost for Kotoko, though. Negotiations are believed to be nearing closure between the club and Blay and there is not plenty of time for a contract extension to be agreed, as the player is being reluctant to sign a new deal.
The 32-year-old has been touted as a future legend of the club and the prospect of being a Porcupine Warriors icon and the status that comes with that could appeal.
But a change of scenery and a new challenge in the Ashanti regional capital could also be an attractive prospect, particularly looking at Justice Blay's age as he nears retirement.
Blay has featured in 9 games in the Ghana Premier League after 12 rounds of matches this season
