Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has voiced his frustration after his side failed to convert a series of clear chances in their goalless draw with Vision FC on Wednesday.

The Porcupine Warriors dominated much of the Matchweek 7 outstanding encounter but were unable to make their superiority count, wasting several opportunities that could have secured all three points.

“The team was very, very wasteful in the final third,” Zito admitted after the match.

“We created some chances we should have scored at all costs, but we were not focused. At the end of the day, I’m okay with the point because this is the league, when you go away, you don’t want to lose. So I’m content with one point, considering how the game went.”

Despite the draw, Zito found positives in his team’s performance, noting their control and energy throughout the match.

Asante Kotoko currently sit seventh on the Ghana Premier League table with 15 points from seven games, as they look to build consistency in the coming Matchweek 10 fixture against Aduana Stars on Sunday, November 16.
