Hearts of Oak guardsman, Kelvin Osei Asibey after expressing elation for his return to active football, has also heaped praises on his coach Aboubakar Ouattara and feels he is the perfect man to lead them into next season.
The 23-year-old guardsman joined the Rainbow Club last year on a three-year contract after an impressive spell with Techiman Eleven Wonders.
He stepped in and made an instant impact having quickly gelled into the team and established himself as a mainstay and at some point was one of the fans favourite in the capital.
Having won 29 caps last season in the league, Asibey's only goal was in their final fixture against Bechem United where they came from behind to win 2-3 at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour to secure survival.
In an exclusive interview on Kumasi-based Fox FM, the enterprising defender sent an apology to all Hearts of Oak supporters for their poor performance last season and landed by assuring them of an improved one in the 2024/25 season.
He added by lauding by Aboubakar Ouattara and revealed some qualities in his coaching style reason he backs him to continue as their head coach.
"Coach Aboubakar Ouattara is tactically a good coach. His one on one talks with players are top notch. He's the ideal man for the Hearts of Oak job."
"We apologize to our millions of supporters worldwide, they should forgive us for last season's poor run. They should expect a better season from us in the next campaign.
Kelvin Osei Asibey is definitely in camp at the moment with his colleagues preparing for the Democracy Cup game which has been rescheduled to Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
