King Faisal FC's new head coach, Ignatius Osei-Fosu, has expressed confidence in his team's ability to win the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League title after leading them to a goalless draw against Asante Kotoko in his debut match.
Osei-Fosu, who has previously coached Techiman Eleven Wonders, Medeama, and Dreams FC, believes that with a results-oriented approach, King Faisal can achieve the feat.
Despite having only one training session with the team and playing the last 14 minutes of the match with ten men after Abdul Latif received a second booking, King Faisal managed to hold on for a draw. Osei-Fosu praised his team's defensive efforts and acknowledged that they wanted to win but were unable to do so.
“When you look at the points build up. It’s possible we can win the League. The reality is that I’m a results oriented. I saved Dreams FC, and I’m here to save King Faisal, too.” , Ignatius was quoted by King Faisal FC on Twitter.

In the 2022/23 league season, Aduana FC remains the league leaders on 44 points, followed by Bechem United and Medeama SC, both on 41 points.
Hearts of Oak is placed fourth with 39 points in 25 games played, while Asante Kotoko occupies fifth place with 39 points.
King Faisal is currently 10th on the league standings, having earned 32 points from 25 games played.
