Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Mohammed Richard Camara has earned a call-up to the Guinea national team ahead of the upcoming November international break.
The 25-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors prior to the commencement of the 2024/25 season and has fought his way very well since his arrival and is currently the club’s first-choice.
Camara, has been great and did some five-star performances notably games against Hearts of Oak in the President Cup and against Kaizer Chiefs in the Toyota Cup - where he saved four penalties during the shootout.
In the ongoing season, the lanky goalie has three clean sheets; two in the league and one in the CAF Confederations Cup in six matches in all competitions and his impressive start has been recognized back home.
Manager Paulo Duarte has included him in his squad for the upcoming international window where they will face Togo and Niger all in international friendlies.
He will compete for the first choice spot alongside Mory Keita and French-based Soumaila Sylla.
They will face Togo on November 15 and Niger in four days time, November 19, all in Casablanca, Morocco.
