Hearts of Oak Communications Director Kwame Opare Addo has issued a confident message ahead of Sunday’s Super Clash against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko, insisting the Phobians are fully prepared to deliver a performance worthy of the occasion.
The two Ghanaian heavyweights who are currently unbeaten in the league' lock horns at the Accra Sports Stadium on Matchday 9 of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League, as they renew one of African football’s fiercest rivalries.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Opare Addo stressed that the encounter represents more than just three points, as Hearts seek to celebrate their anniversary month in emphatic fashion.
“This Super Clash in Accra won’t be easy for Asante Kotoko. Accra Hearts of Oak is ready to make a strong statement at home,” Opare Addo declared.
Opare Addo also highlighted the timing of the match as a source of added motivation for the Phobians.
“November, being the birth month of Accra Hearts of Oak, will have great significance in the upcoming Super Clash,” he added.
With both teams enjoying solid starts to the campaign, the stakes could hardly be higher as they battle for early-season supremacy. Kick-off for the eagerly awaited fixture is scheduled for 15:00 GMT at the Accra Sports Stadium.
