Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Chairman, Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadu, famously known as ‘King Zuba’ has taken a huge swipe at the current technical team of Asante Kotoko led by Abdul Karim Zito saying there hasn’t been any improvement since they took over.

He made these comments on the back of the team’s recent abysmal performance which has gotten most of the supporters unhappy and believe they need to improve massively to stay in the title race.

However, many could strongly disagree since he isn’t basing his argument on the team’s recent performance because Zito has delivered the FA Cup and two other trophies despite being in charge for less than a year

Speaking in an interview with Media General’s Akoma FM in Kumasi, the KMA boss stated without beating about the bush that Karim Zito isn’t the right person for the Kotoko job.

“I have not seen any significant improvement in Asante Kotoko since Karim Zito took over. For me, the club needs a fresh direction, and that should come from an experienced expatriate coach.”

After four-game winless run in the league including two loses against Basake Holy Stars and Hohoe United, the Porcupine Warriors finally redeemed themselves with a narrow 1-0 win over Dreams FC over the weekend to return on winning ways.

Asante Kotoko have now moved to third place on the log with 24 points and will face Eleven Wonders next.
