The Oda-based Premier League have terminated their contract with the 39-year-old gaffer following the club's uninspiring performance in the 2022/23 season's campaign.
Ghana Premier League newcomers Kotoku Royals have sacked their head coach Seth Ablade after just five months of his appointment.
Ablade was appointed as head coach of Kotoku Royals prior to the start of the club's debut season in the Ghana Premier League after his contract with Medeama SC as technical director had been abrogated.
The club's official statement reads “Kotoku Royals Football Club has relieved Seth Ablade from official duties as head coach. The club would like to thank the coach and wish him the very best in his future endeavours,”
He joined Kotoku Royals in August 2022 and guided to eight league matches and secured only four points — 1 win and 1 draw — and suffered six defeats, leaving the club at the bottom of the table.
Kotoku Royals has appointed former West African Football Academy (WAFA) and Asante Kotoko coach Akakpo Patron to be in charge of the first team on interim basis.
“Assistant coach Raphael Akakpo Patron will take temporary charge as first team coach until a new coach is appointed” the club's official statement stated.
Kotoku Royals will host Legon Cities when the Ghana Premier League resumes on December 19 after the four-week break for the 2022 World Cup.
