The Porcupine Warriors have strengthened their defense with the acquisition of the experienced full-back on the transfer deadline day.

Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko has announced the signing of Kwasi Asante on a one-and-a-half-year contract following the successful completion of his medical.

The 26-year-old signed a contract with the Kumasi-based club on Wednesday after passing a mandatory medical examination.

The club's official statement reads: “Asante Kotoko can confirm the signing of 29-year-old left-back Kwasi Asante on a one-and-a-half-year contract following the successful completion of his medical.”

Asante brings guile and versatility to the Porcupine Warriors, having played for Hafia Club of Guinea, Simba FC in Tanzania, and Mbabane Swallows in Eswatini.

Known for his adaptability, he can operate not only as a left-back but also as a center-back or even as a left winger, offering valuable options to the technical team.

Asante becomes the sixth signing of the club after the arrivals of Sampson Eduku, Kwame Opoku, Isaac Mintah, Benjamin Twum and Daniel Adrian Adjetey.
