Bibiani Gold Stars head coach Frimpong Manso has vowed that his team will intensify their efforts in pursuit of the Ghana Premier League title following a stellar first-round performance.  

The Gye Nyame lads currently lead the league table with 33 points from 17 matches, a remarkable turnaround after narrowly escaping relegation last season. Their rise to the top has surprised many, establishing them as serious contenders for the championship.  

 

Speaking to Akoma 87.9 FM, Manso expressed confidence in his team’s potential to secure the title:  

“Now we’ve seen that if we push a little bit, we can win the league title. Therefore, we’re striving for first place and will work twice as hard as we did in the first round.”  

 

Gold Stars have impressed with consistent performances, defying expectations and earning widespread praise for their transformation.  

 

The second round of the league begins on Saturday, with Bibiani Gold Stars set to face Legon Cities at the University of Ghana Stadium. 

 

The match is seen as a critical test of their title ambitions as they look to maintain their position at the summit.
