A first half strike from Godfred Poku Wakil extended Aduana Stars unbeaten streak to four matches after pipping Medeama at the Akoon Park.
Aduana Stars inflicted a painful 1-0 home defeat on Medeama SC in their Ghana Premier League match-week four encounter on Sunday afternoon.
Medeama SC played the entire second half with only ten men after Kwadwo Amoako was shown a straight red-card for a horrible tackle on the 44th minute.
Newly-signed Godfred Poku Wakil fired the opener for Aduana Stars with a cool finish on the 20th minute which eventually became the only goal recorded.
Medeama SC came closed to level the score Kwesi Donsu on the 35th minute but his strike went off target as they were in search for the equalizer before the recess.
In the second half, Aduana Stars were resolute at the backline as they took an advantage of manless Medeama to clear every inroads.
Aduana Stars looked dangerous with their upfront comprising of Emmanuel Gyamfi, Isaac Mintah and Bright Adjei. The trio kept piling up pressure on the host with the hopes of running riot before the final whistle.
None of their efforts earned them additional goals as the fixture ended in a 1-0 win for Aduana Stars at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa
Following the results, Aduana Stars sits on top of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League log with 10 points while Medeama drops to seventh position after losing two games in a row.
