AshantiGold SC rose from a goal down to humble Bechem United by 2-1 at the Len Clay Stadium in a tough week 33 tie.
Augustine Okrah got the visitors on an explosive start with his blistering run but was fouled for a free kick which followed up with a drive from Joseph Kingful but went out for a goalkick.
Their constant pressure finally yielded a results after Emmanuel Avornyo connected from a close range to snatch the lead in just nine minutes from kickoff.
The home team with their first dangerous attempt on the 15th minute, marksman Yaw Annor turned nicely to send a curler, Ali Mohammed followed up with a connection but missed out narrowly.
AshantiGold SC again on the 19th minute came close for the equalizer after Abdul Salam sent a belter from outside but was parried out by goalkeeper Aziz Haruna.
The Bechem goalie to the rescue once again after coming off his line to deny Yaw Annor after he had combined beautifully with Abdul Salam.
In the second half, Yaw Annor continued with his tormenting after sending a strong hit from the edge of the box but went wide for a restart.
Bechem United not really opening up in the second half as they always love to stay resolute in their half to watch their opponents dominate possession.
The Miners came searching again, Seidu Dauda looking to pick up Yaw Annor in the box but once again goalkeeper Aziz Haruna came off his line to collect that one.
On the 80th minute, AshantiGold SC went again in search for the leveller after Kingsley Owusu played Mark Agyekum through with a decent ball but was flagged up for offside.
The host finally got back on level terms on the 87th minute through substitute Josiah Andoh who connected from Aminu Adams cross. Just what they have been hunting for.
Just on the stroke of full time, Richard Osei Agyemang curled in nicely from the edge of the box to hand his side the lead for the first time in the game.
It finished 2-1 for AshantiGold SC after full time.
