Bibiani Goldstars got held by Heart of Lions to a pulsating 2-2 draw at the Dun's Park in the last fixture of Ghana Premier League match-day 6.
The opening fifteen of the game was an open one with both teams all relaxed and focusing much on keeping the ball looking very cautious in their build up.
Heart of Lions's Mustapha Yakubu had two opportunities fell on his path- one of which is a one on one situation but couldn't make it count and had his strike on the 20th minute once again gathered by goalkeeper Yaw Ansah.
The home team also responded quickly seven minutes later after Appiah McCarthy put Alex Aso through with a decent pass but was flagged up for offside in a very controversial fashion.
Goldstars finally broke the deadlock just on the stroke of half time through Alex Aso who pounced on a rebound after goalkeeper struggled to collect McCarthy's free kick.
In the second half, the two sides returned on an explosive note and took the game at each other with so much energy resulting into even exchanges.
Goldstars given a free kick on the 54th minute. Appiah McCarthy went for it and scored beautifully to double their lead.
Surprisingly, Heart of Lions pulled one back in just a minute on- through Mustapha Yakubu who nipped on a poor defensive work to find the back of the net.
The Lions got themselves back on level terms through captain Ebenezer Abban who pounced on a poor free kick clearance to score from a close range to make it 2-2.
After series of pressure on the visitors, the Miners had all their efforts went futile as it finished in a 2-2 draw after 90+ minute.
