Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has stated that Medeama SC fully deserved their 1-0 victory against Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League match week two clash on Saturday.
Addo, who attended the match at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, offered his assessment after watching Kamaradini Mamudu’s 18th-minute goal secure all three points for Medeama.
Speaking to the media post-match, the former Borussia Dortmund talent coach commended Medeama's overall performance and highlighted their dominance.
“I think it was a good game,” Addo remarked. “Legon Cities had a few good chances in both halves, but they couldn’t maintain the intensity. Medeama, on the other hand, was solid—especially in defense and midfield. They have fast strikers, and their substitutions were effective. In the end, they deserved the win.”
He also noted the presence of some promising young talent on both teams, suggesting they could be players to watch in the future.
The victory keeps Medeama at the top of the league table with six points from two games, while Legon Cities are still in search of their first win of the season.
