Medeama SC striker Jonathan Sowah made his first-ever appearance for the senior national team of Ghana against Liberia in an international friendly.
Sowah climbed off the bench to make his debut for the Black Stars against the lone stars of Liberia at the Accra Sports Stadium.
After a score-less draw in the first half, Ernest Nuamah, Kudus Mohammed and Jordan Ayew registered their names on the score sheet to hand Ghana 3-1 victory over Liberia.
He was introduced on the 80th minute as replacement for Iddrisu Baba.
Sowah, who joined Medeama SC from lower-tier side Danbort FC in the second second round of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League, managed to score 12 goals in 18 matches to aid the Yellow and Mauves lads to clinch the Premier League title for the first time.
He has scored two goals in the 2023/24 CAF Champions League campaign for Medeama SC.
