Former Ghanaian forward Joe Pappy has revealed that his biggest career regret was not getting the chance to play for Asante Kotoko, describing the club as the greatest in Ghana.

Joe Pappy, who played for clubs including Adanseman, Bofoakwa, and Kwabibirem, said he came extremely close to joining the Porcupine Warriors, but the move collapsed at the final stage.

“I nearly signed for Kotoko, but the deal hit a snag at the last minute,” he said. “It’s something that still pains me because every Ghanaian footballer dreams of playing for such a great club.”

He described Kotoko as the biggest team in the country and said wearing their jersey would have been a defining moment in his career. According to him, players currently at the club must appreciate the privilege of representing such an iconic side.

After the failed move, Joe Pappy continued his career abroad, but admitted that the missed opportunity to play for Kotoko still remains one of the most unforgettable moments of his football journey.
