Joseph Ablorh, the latest addition to Asante Kotoko’s squad, has signed a two-year deal with the club as they gear up for the 2024/25 football campaign.

Drawing inspiration from former Chelsea and Brazilian defender Thiago Silva, Ablorh, a former Hafia FC centre-back, believes his aggressive playing style and prowess in aerial duels mirror that of the renowned defender.

In a statement to the club’s media team, Ablorh expressed, “My style is just like Thiago Silva. I’m aggressive on the field of play and also good in aerial duels. I possess the qualities of a good defender.” With these attributes, Ablorh is anticipated to play a crucial role for the Porcupine Warriors in the upcoming season.

Having showcased his talent at Hafia FC during the 2020/2021 season, Ablorh earned accolades for his strong tackling and aerial abilities, leading to his inclusion in the Season’s Best XI.

Asante Kotoko’s decision to bolster their squad with players like Ablorh follows the departure of over 20 players at the end of the previous season, underlining their commitment to strengthening the team for future campaigns.
