Asante Kotoko are set to bolster their defense with the signing of right-back Victor Oduro, who has successfully completed his medical ahead of a three-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors.
The 24-year-old underwent a medical assessment on Saturday at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and is expected to officially sign his contract on Monday, confirming his move from Nations FC.
Oduro is set to reunite with head coach Abdul Karim Zito, under whom he previously worked at Dreams FC. His arrival is seen as a direct replacement for Adrian Adjetey, who was recently released as part of Kotoko’s squad restructuring.
The highly rated right-back made nine appearances for Nations FC during the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, after switching from Dreams FC at the start of the campaign.
At Kotoko, Oduro will face healthy competition for the right-back slot, going up against Lord Amoah as the club looks to strengthen key areas ahead of the new season.
His signing forms part of Kotoko’s broader efforts to rebuild a competitive team under Karim Zito’s leadership, with a focus on youth, depth, and discipline.
An official unveiling is expected early next week following the completion of paperwork.
