Asante Kotoko are set to announce the signing of Nations FC right-back Victor Oduro, with the highly-rated defender expected to put pen to paper today.
The 24-year-old has been on Kotoko’s radar for weeks following a strong season with Nations FC in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League, where he featured in nine matches for the top-flight debutants in the 2024/25 campaign.
Kickgh.com understands that Oduro has agreed personal terms, and final paperwork is being wrapped up as he will sign a three-year deal. He has reportedly passed his medical, and all indicators point to an official announcement from Kotoko’s camp later today.
Oduro’s arrival is seen as a major defensive reinforcement for the Porcupine Warriors, who are revamping their squad for the 2025/26 season after clinching the FA Cup.
Known for his overlapping runs, defensive awareness, and versatility, Oduro is expected to slot straight into the starting lineup under coach Abdul Karim Zito - whom he worked under at Dreams FC.
