Despite finishing the Ghana Premier League season with a respectable twelve goals, Asante Kotoko striker Albert Amoah has revealed he's not satisfied,  insisting he could and should have scored more.

The 23-year-old forward, who was instrumental in Kotoko’s attack during the 2024/25 campaign, says personal standards and ambition drive him to aim higher than just double digits.

“I’m grateful to God. I wanted to score more than 12 goals for Kotoko in my debut season. I’m not too impressed with my scoring rate,” Amoah told the club’s media.

Amoah’s tally helped Kotoko to a strong 3rd place finish, capped with an FA Cup triumph, but the former Great Olympic striker believes he left goals on the table, especially during a mid-season dip in form due to injuries.

“ I started the season well until injuries plagued my progress.”

With Amoah's profile growing and potential suitors circling, Kotoko may have a tough task holding onto him as reports suggest a $300,000 approach has been made by a yet-to-be-named club.
