Medeama SC head coach Nebojsa Kapor is filled with optimism as his side prepares to face Basake Holy Stars this weekend, following a perfect start to the Ghana Premier League season.
With two impressive victories and a flawless record, Medeama sits atop the league table, and Kapor attributes much of their early success to the team's formidable defensive performance.
"There's an excellent feeling inside our team; it's a perfect moment for us after starting the competition very well," Kapor remarked ahead of their upcoming clash. "Not conceding goals is especially important. With two clean sheets for our goalkeeper, this has contributed significantly to our confidence and positive energy."
Medeama's solid defense has been pivotal in their campaign thus far, as they have yet to concede a goal. As they gear up for their first-ever league meeting with Basake Holy Stars at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Stadium, Kapor and his team aim to extend their unbeaten run.
On the other hand, Basake Holy Stars are eager to secure their first home win of the season after a mixed start. They opened the season with a surprising 1-0 victory over Hearts of Oak but have since struggled, managing a 0-0 draw against Dreams FC followed by a 1-0 loss to Bibiani Gold Stars.
