Newly appointed Bechem United head coach Kobina Amissah has expressed strong confidence that the club will maintain its Ghana Premier League status by the end of the 2025/26 season.

Amissah’s appointment follows the dismissal of former head coach Desmond Isaac-Botchway and his assistant Bright Anthony Konadu, after the Hunters endured a difficult start to the campaign — recording just one win, three draws, and four defeats in their opening eight matches.

Taking over at a crucial point in the season, Amissah believes his experience and the players’ resolve will help the team recover from their early struggles.

“The league is still young; we have about 25 matches left, so there’s plenty of time. We’re going to bounce back strongly and make sure we do the right things,” Amissah said. “We just need to concentrate, follow instructions, and execute our game plan properly.”

Bechem United currently sit 16th on the league table with six points from nine games, and Amissah’s immediate focus will be on restoring consistency and steering the team away from the relegation zone.
