Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, a board member of Hearts of Oak, has called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Disciplinary Committee to take action against referee Reginald Collins Amoah following what he described as an “incompetent” performance in the Super Clash against Asante Kotoko.

The controversial decisions came in a 1-0 defeat for Hearts, with Kotoko awarded a penalty after defender Yaw Amankwa Baafi was judged to have fouled Peter Amidu Acquah inside the box. The resulting spot-kick was successfully converted by Morifing Donzo, handing the Phobians their first loss of the season.

Hearts’ stoppage-time equaliser by Mawuli Wayo was also ruled out for offside, a decision that further angered Nyaho-Tamakloe.

“I call on the GFA to discipline Referee Reginald Collins Amoah. He is incompetent,” he told Asempa FM.
“Either he is incompetent, or somebody has put money into his hands. This sort of nonsense is what I hate in this country. When the thing is wrong, it is wrong irrespective of who committed that offense.”

Meanwhile, the GFA Disciplinary Committee has charged Hearts of Oak and midfielder Hussein Mohammed for misconduct during the same fixture.

In a statement, the GFA cited that Hearts “failed to control its players” after the final whistle, with some supporters throwing objects onto the field of play. Hussein Mohammed was also accused of assaulting referee Amoah as the official, under police protection, made his way to the tunnel.

Both Hearts of Oak and Hussein have been given until Tuesday, November 11, to respond to the charges.
