Nigerien side Sahel FC have expressed firm interest in Asante Kotoko captain Ndongani Samba O’Neil as the January transfer window approaches.
The 25-year-old Congolese centre-back, who joined the Porcupine Warriors from Rahimo FC in 2024, has quickly established himself as a cornerstone of Kotoko’s defence.
With his contract entering its final year, Kickgh.com understands that Sahel FC are said to have made enquiries about his availability as they look to strengthen their squad. Kotoko, however, are reportedly close to securing an extension, aiming to retain their dependable captain beyond 2026.
This season, Samba has made eight appearances in ten Ghana Premier League matches, scoring once, and featured four times in the CAF Confederation Cup, netting a goal as Kotoko exited in the second preliminary round.
Since joining the club, he has racked-up 42 appearances across all competitions, with two goals and one assist to his name.
