Former Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey has taken a swipe at the leadership of Eleven Wonders, saying the club’s management must “know better” following fresh concerns about player welfare.
The Ghana Premier League newcomers have been placed on the criticism table after former coach J.E. Sarpong alleged that players were not being properly fed and were owed salaries.
Lamptey, who was named head coach after the club's promotion to the top flight resigned after a winless nine-game start to the 2025/26 season, said he was not surprised by the current revelations.
"I just hope that things will change at the club because the handlers of the team, someone is a Member of Parliament, and someone else is also serving as a Member Council of State, so why should this be happening?" he said on Asempa FM.
"Sometimes, I ask myself questions because if you cannot manage 30 players, then I am sorry.
"I am an illiterate, and I have over 60 players I am managing at my academy. So if an illiterate can do that, how much more people like you?" he added.
Eleven Wonders sit bottom of the Premier League table with three points from 11 matches. They will face Dreams FC in their Matchday 12 fixture at the University of Ghana Stadium on Monday, December 1.
