Highly-rated defender Alex Boakye has signed a new contract extension with Aduana FC, fending off all interests.

The 30-year-old has been with the ‘Ogya’ lads since 2020 and has been amazing and is currently one of the most experience players in the Ghanaian topflight playing his sixth season in the ongoing campaign

In the 2025/26 term, the enterprising guardsman has made 14 appearances in the league so far with a goal to his belt and is touted by many as the best defender in the championship.

Recently, he has strongly been linked to series of clubs especially giants Asante Kotoko who per reports were seriously in negotiations with Boakye to secure his signature.

It looks impossible now as Alex Boakye has committed his future in Dormaa having penned down a new two-year deal. Official club statement reads;

“Alex Boakye has signed a new two -year contract at #Aduana_fc with an option to extend for a further year. We wish him the very best as he continues his journey with the us.”

He’s been a rock solid at the back for Aduana Stars who are currently leading the league log with 28 points and will once again hope for a starting berth against Young Apostles this weekend.
