The outspoken experienced tactician has linked up with the Ghanaian second tier campaigners until the end of the current football season

Division One League side FC AshantiGold have announced the signing of former Asante Kotoko coach Karim Zito in a deal believed to be on a short-term in this ongoing campaign.

After severing ties with the Porcupine Warriors, the former Dreams FC gaffer has made a quick return to the dugout with the lowly division club in a bid to help them secure qualification to the Ghanaian top-flight next season.

The Obuasi-based club took to their micro-blogging platform Facebook to announce the landing of the ex-Ghana U20 manager in a statement that reads: ''Coach Karim Zito is in our camp. He has joined the technical team. His experience, discipline and winning mindset; this adds strength to our bench and belief to our squad. Welcome to FC AshantiGold, coach. Let's get to work.''

The addition of the experienced tactician to the technical bench of the Miners is set to play a crucial role for their campaign as they chase for a ticket to book their place in the country's elite division contest at the end of the 2025-26 season.

They currently occupy the 1st position of the Division One League Zone 2 league standings with 40 points across 22 matches so far this term.
