Accra Hearts of Oak coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani expressed frustration with referee Jacob Aduntera after his team drew 0-0 with Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.

The Phobians dominated the game at the University of Ghana Stadium, creating most of the chances, but were repeatedly denied by Chelsea goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi. Despite Chelsea midfielder Samuel Tenadu helping his side control parts of the midfield, making it hard for Hearts to score.

The draw marked Hearts of Oak's third straight home stalemate, after similar results against Dreams FC and Bechem United FC. Dramani criticised the referee for letting Chelsea players slow down the game.

“Berekum Chelsea players kept going down to break the rhythm of the game. The referee should have cautioned them,” he said.

“You were here, you saw it, when someone fakes an injury, he goes down and nothing happens. Then the tempo is lost when we want to keep the intensity. They take 30 seconds and the rhythm disappears. And the referee needs to be smart enough to see it has happened two or three times, but nothing is done.”

The draw leaves Hearts of Oak third in the league with 40 points after Matchday 23. The Phobians will now turn their attention to Matchday 24, travelling to Bibiani to face Goldstars FC at Dun’s Park on Sunday, March 1, 2026.
