Asante Kotoko head coach Prince Yaw Owusu says he is pleased with his team’s effort after they played out a goalless draw with Aduana FC in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors travelled to Dormaa to face Aduana FC in their Matchweek 27 match at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, which turned out to be a close game between two strong sides.
Despite several attempts from both teams, neither side managed to score, and the game ended 0-0 with the points shared.
Speaking after the match, Owusu praised his players for their performance and said the point gained was valuable.
“Although we didn’t win, I think the boys did their best, and their best has given us the one point,” he said. “We appreciate that more than losing it all.”
The result keeps Asante Kotoko in third place on the league table with 43 points, while Aduana FC sit just behind in fifth position with 42 points.
With only six points separating the top team and the Porcupine Warriors in fourth place, the race for the Ghana Premier League title remains open as the season enters its final stages.
