Medeama SC's Communication Director, Nana Effah Asare, has expressed confidence that the Yellow and Mauve will emerge as champions at the end of the ongoing Ghana Premier League season.
The 2021/22 Premier League winners currently sit sixth on the table with 21 points, having recorded six wins, three draws, and four defeats after 13 matches.
Speaking in an interview, Effah Asare assured fans of the club’s ambition to reclaim the league title and secure continental football next season.
“It’s unfortunate we couldn’t defend the title last season. We’ve learned from our mistakes. It’s too early to call, but our objective is to win the league and secure a spot in Africa. I can emphasize that Medeama will win the Premier League title this season,” he stated.
Medeama’s campaign has also seen a managerial shake-up, as the club announced the departure of head coach Nebojsa Kapor following the expiration of his one-year contract.
The Bosnian tactician, who joined the club in December 2023, leaves after failing to agree on a contract renewal with the Mauve and Yellows.
As Medeama pushes forward in the league, the club is expected to announce a new head coach soon to guide the team toward their lofty goals.
