The Ghana Police Service has launched a manhunt for armed robbers following the fatal shooting of Berekum Chelsea midfielder Dominic Frimpong during a highway attack at Ahyiresu in the Ashanti Region.

According to an official police statement, the incident occurred on Sunday night along the Ahyiresu–Kwame Dwumor Sreso road, where armed men ambushed a bus carrying players and officials of Berekum Chelsea.

The attackers reportedly blocked the road, forcing the vehicle off course as the team attempted to escape.
