Interim head coach Asante Kotoko, Prince Yaw Owusu, says he is not worried about growing calls for him to be sacked after the club’s latest result in the Ghana Premier League.
Kotoko were held to a goalless draw by 10-man Vision FC on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium in their Matchday 24 game, a result that has increased pressure on the technical team.
Owusu has taken charge of three matches since replacing Karim Zito. But despite criticism from some supporters, he says he remains focused on his work.
“They are free to call for it (my sack), that is a decision for management to make. For me, I’m not worried about it,” Owusu said after the match.
“I just go out there and do my job and leave the rest to management. If they make the call today, I will respect it.”
Kotoko are currently fourth on the league table with 39 points. They will face Karela United in their next Matchday 25 fixture.
