Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogun is very elated after finally securing his first league win since re-taking over the club.
The Porcupine Warriors exhibited a persistent top level performance throughout the game to narrowly defeat Accra Lions by 1-0 last Monday in Accra in the final fixture of Ghana Premier League match-day four.
The game was really a tight one and went without any goal till the last gasp before Kalo Ouattara jumped high to connect a cross on the 98th minute to snatch a late win for 'Kum Apem' lads.
Speaking on StarTimes after the game, the enterprising tactician praised their opponents for being a good side tactically and expected a difficult game but is very happy they carried the day in the end.
"They are a tactically good side. They are very intelligent on the ball and they are able to move well into spaces so I knew it was going to be like this,” the Asante Kotoko coach said."
“We have quality, we have depth in the team if you are on the bench your responsibility is to read and analyze the game. I’m happy for them that when they go in there they are able to get the decisions right,” Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum said.
Asante Kotoko have finally got their first victory and are currently sitting on the tenth spot with five points after four matches.
They will host Aduana Stars in Kumasi on Sunday, October 15, in the next round of matches.
