Accra Lions FC head coach, Ibrahim Tanko has described their defeat to Asante Kotoko as a very painful one and believes they at least deserved a draw in the game.
The Lions suffered a disheartening 0-1 home defeat to the Porcupine Warriors last Monday mid-afternoon, having conceded in the dying embers of the game.
Kalo Ouattara rose high and connected with a towering header from a cross that came from the right side to hand Kotoko their first win, and Lion's first season loss.
Speaking after the game, the Black Meteors gaffer says they didn't deserve to end the game without a point, premising his argument on the kind of football his lads displayed on the day.
"It’s a very painful defeat. I mean lack of concentration. I think a draw could have been a better or a fair result based on how the two teams played but this is football, one lack of concentration cause you three points. It’s painful."
Accra Lions FC after their first defeat are currently found on the ninth position with five points, and will lock horns with regional rivals Great Olympics in the next round of matches.
