Bechem United head coach Kobina Amissah has expressed delight after the club confirmed their Ghana Premier League status ahead of the final round of the 2025/26 season.

The Hunters secured safety last weekend with a crucial 3-1 victory over Asante Kotoko SC, a result that guaranteed their survival in the top flight.

Bechem United currently sit on 47 points, six clear of the relegation zone, meaning their place in the league is secured regardless of the final day outcome.

The achievement comes as a huge relief for the club, who spent parts of the campaign battling to avoid the drop.

Speaking ahead of their final fixture against Berekum Chelsea FC, Amissah praised the collective effort of the players, technical team, management, and board in ensuring survival.

“I’m very, very happy that at long last we are not a threatened team again in terms of relegation. I’m very happy that the boys have done well and we have escaped relegation. Relegation is a problem for every team, but we have escaped,” he said.

“I’m very grateful to the management, the board and the playing body. It’s great that we have escaped relegation,” Amissah added.

Bechem United will wrap up their season with an away fixture against Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 pm.
