Nations FC head coach Frimpong Manso has admitted that his side is in a difficult position heading into the final game of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season.

The experienced coach has come under increasing pressure in recent weeks following a poor run of results that dragged the club into the relegation zone.

Tensions rose further last Sunday after Nations FC suffered a disappointing 1-0 home defeat, a result that reportedly sparked anger among sections of supporters, with attempts made to confront the coach after the final whistle.

The setback has left Nations FC in a must-win situation heading into the final round of matches.

Speaking ahead of the decisive clash against Karela United, Manso acknowledged the challenges but insisted the team is focused on securing survival.

“It’s been difficult. Looking at our last game, we lost at home, and at this time of the season, we felt it, but then we had to let it go because we have another game. It’s not been easy, but life goes on,” he told Nations FC TV.

“We all know how difficult the game against Karela United is going to be, but we have only one option, and that is to go out there and try to win.”

Manso added that his players are aware of the stakes and have mentally prepared for one final push to avoid relegation.

“So we understand what is going on. The players are also feeling it, but we have psyched ourselves because we still have the opportunity to make amends,” he said.

The crucial Week 34 encounter between Karela United and Nations FC will be played at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 pm.
